Jamie Lee Curtis is using her Oscars 2023 trophy to celebrate their transgender child Ruby Guest.

Curtis has named her Oscar "They/Them" to show her support for Ruby.

The actress became emotional as she talked about her win during The Today Show and said she was "very moved" by the recognition and the support.

Ruby first made it clear that she was transgender into Curtis along with her spouse, Christopher Guest, in 2020.

Ruby stated that it was an frightening experience.

When she announced her decision via text message, her parents were welcoming and they were able to support her during the emotional exchange.

Curtis was the officiant at Ruby's wedding ceremony to her partner Kynthia in 2022.

The actress is an LGBTQ+ ally and powerfully condemns transphobia.

Curtis acknowledged her family and friends that believed in her in her appearance on Today.
